I feel like this song’s success needs to be studied as a case study for success in the industry today. Bc this song never cracked the top 10, didn’t have some buzzy controversy carrying it. By no means should this be the hit it seems to be. It’s truly wild

Gagalah knew this track had huge potential. Hell, she even teased it back in July of 2024.

Her team was also very smart with how they incorporated tiktok into long-term promotion.

can someone provide the data behind these claims

Some think "Hits of 2025" and "Hits released in 2025" are the same. To be more accurate, Abra is #1 most-streamed solo female hit "released" in 2025. Hope this helps:

Thats ok. My fav group of all time (ABBA) also did way better WW especially in Europe than in the US. Its becoming increasingly clear to me USA has awful taste :vegas:

Omg I was just thinking about how ABBA only had like 4 top ten songs in the US and now EVERYONE in the US knows their entire catalog.

I think they had a lot happen just like with Gaga where at the time of release a lot if stuff was only moderate hits but in time came to be appreciated (like Judas for example). They also had a number of top 20s with longevity

I think it also helps they were really big WW especially in Europe. While the US on its own would likely have forgotten them, their success elsewhere helped keep them remembered and in turn newer US generations can in turn remember them

But yeah peaks can be misleading especially if u look only at one Country, even one as big as America.

Look at Gaga. How many top 10s has she had in USA after ARTPOP? Literally only 5 as well over a 12 year span (over a decade):

Million Reasons #4

Stupid Love #5

Rain On Me #1

Shallow #1

Die With A Smile #1

Thats an average of a top 10 less than once every 2 years. Yet no one would deny shes still been one of the biggest and most recognized artists of the last decade

Lets be real, she would have been #1 on charts as well if they bothered with physical releases and everything else they did for DWAS.

It's just a proof that the charts during the streaming era are irrelevant and not really reflecting the reality.

Like The Fate Of Necrophilia... it's #1 for almost 8 weeks, but where is the buzz? the tiktok moments? the impact? even the radio is not obsessed with it much.

If you check the top 10, ask yourself how many songs do you even know and then if you know, how many time did you listen to them recently..

But everyone knows Abra, it became her signature song atm "Lady Gaga, the hitmaker behind Abracadabra"..

So sploosh your juice all over me you Riverboy

Love how pop stans are essentially like MAGA republicans that make huge clams without providing any evidence or sources :icant:

iirc manchild and tfoo are the only competitors, both around 560m streams on spotify

4th Time Around

Iconic single during an iconic era. Hard to believe how much has happened in such a short time. All we need now is for Mayhem to triumph at the Grammy awards.

Hey, I'm king of the world, you ought to hear my song, you come on measure me, I'm twenty inches long

It really bothers me they didn’t do it, I know charts are not that important yeah but such a special song and special momentum in Gaga’s career deserved all the attention from the label, it barely had a single cover at the time it was released

The year is not over, so the most streamed female solo song of 2025 will be The Fate of Ophelia.

The tweet is not mentioning the words so far, and it is engagement baiting a so called “official” success.

streaming platforms are doing their "best of year" lists RIGHT NOW, Apple music did theirs, spotify's coming this week and Abracadabra will be up there

Could songs that are below Abracadabra on any platform overtake it in the future? hell yeah, but we are not there yet, if you wanna wait until end of December, that's a YOU thing, how you'd like it to be! These streaming apps are doing theirs now...

AMERICAN MONSTERS:

Please stop harping on about Abra's chart performance in the US.

It was #3 in the UK and #5 on Billboard Global Top 200.

It's 2025, stop perpetuating American exceptionalism lol. Your charts aren't as relevant as they used to be. Neither is your country :fthis:

Well, only because the year is not over yet. Taylor will pass us. And if Sabrina released earlier she would have as well

In terms of calendar year yes, in actual tracking year no. Streams are tracked I think from October to a November so for year end lists it’s still Abra
