"mysterious" is so difficult for me to answer.... what is mysterious! A confusing film? A scary film? A weird film?

I would say.... idk! With google's help Prisoners is seen as mysterious.. but it made me more uncomfortable than curious, I was like omg so evil more than hmm what a conundrum!

I could be wrong but I'm gonna say probably something full of unanswered questions, intrigue and that otherworldly feeling.

I'll be myself until they fūcking close the coffin.

Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me
Twin Peaks: The Return (I treat it as an 18 hour movie).

I'm still so haunted by both and thinking about Laura Palmer will nearly always make me instantly tear up with sadness, horror, and existentialism.

I heard that a lot of people still to this day do not understand what twin peaks was about so you are likely correct

FWWM (Blue Rose Edit) is an absolute masterpiece and the Return is genuinely one of the greatest cinematic works of all time.

I still have to see the Blue Rose Edit! The way that the last 30 minutes of The Return still haunt me to this day and fill me with sadness and dread...never mind that Episode 8 is probably one of the best things I've seen, especially when it comes to episodic storytelling...ugh, I miss Lynch.

Have you ever read The Secret History of Twin Peaks or the Final Dossier? Even those give me chills.

The final moments of part 18 are so haunting. Genuinely changed something in me. Lynch’s ability to create these shared, semi-unconscious dream space where the viewer can see and feel their own deeper emotional world is and was such a gift.

If you want to watch the Blue Rose edit, I think it’s available via the Internet Archives.

As far as the Secret History + Final Dossier: they didn’t really click with me, tbh. A lot of it feels like an attempt from Frost to literalize Lynch’s abstraction/surrealism, but I definitely appreciate his world building abilities.

I will definitely be checking out the Blue Rose edit.

I do normally dislike the idea of external media trying to recontextualize that from which it owes its existence, but I guess the more abstract ideas that were presented, the fleshing out/hinting to Jodie's backstory and Audrey's post-Twin Peaks, as well as TFD alluding to the "new" history of Twin Peaks were probably the most interesting things that came out of it. Plus that absolutely HAUNTING picture of a grey alien and a great horned owl superimposed on each other still freaks me out a tad lol.
