I'll always take the chance to tell the story of when myself, @ChicaSkas, and @SharkmanthaC were in LA and we went to a Hollywood museum 'cause they were supposed to have a sizable MJ exhibit. We walk in and the manager tells us the whole exhibit is gone and Gaga bought it all  

She's such a stan  

If this is true, watching this film will feel even more special knowing there could be scenes where she's just off to the side or where a jacket or glove is an authentic piece that she's lovingly maintained

Most of the comments are people saying she shouldn’t own them, as if his family and estate aren’t the ones who auctioned them off to her. 
 

She is a MJ super fan after all. At least she’s looking after them correctly and she very barely wears any of them. I think she’s worn 2 jackets since she bought the collection years ago. Once for a Hillary Clinton rally back in 2016 and one on this tour the other night.

Always makes me sad she was meant to be the European opener for his This is It tour before his death which is why she went on a festival tour instead of Europe after he died.

She bought them all in an auction to preserve them and keep them together- she didn't want the clothes being separated and possibly mistreated.

Yeah, a ton of MJ stans are openly hostile towards other artists. Like, yeah, he was the biggest ever, but how can you be a fan and not celebrate when artists find him inspiring or when they actively protect part of his legacy?

She bought them out of love for him. And he loved her! He asked her to open his tour for her, but unfortunately, it never came to fruition due to his passing. But what a wild timeline that would have been

He was so nice to her and that is why she’ll be kind to the younger artists.

She allegedly had a song ready with him for the tour opening she was gonna do in 2009. I think it was called "Photograph" or "Pictures", something like that.

I think the concept of his clothing being sold by his estate is obscene, especially when he has three children who it probably should've gone to (just my opinion without knowing any details of the situation). 

However, I've always believed Gaga will look after it very well and I'm glad she has it rather than other people. I think she's someone who would care deeply about the preservation of music history artefacts, as well as having the means to ensure they're always kept in mint condition.

I think having an artist like Gaga at least obtain the clothing is the best outcome. His children probably would have done the same thing by preserving them in a temp./climate controlled facility and visit them on occasion. I'm sure his children have access or some type of access to go and see where his clothes are stored. I'm just glad they are being taken care of well... I have always wondered if Gaga would open a museum with the items kind of like she did for herself in Vegas

I bet she would give them back if asked lol. His children probably would have done the same thing by preserving them in a temp./climate controlled facility and visit them on occasion.

But I also don't think the clothes are just in a section of her house haha- She most likely has them in a facility and an entire team of people handles it. She is more like an art collector in this way
