I'd have to agree, of all the songs she's released I think it might be my least favourite. It feels very one note & doesn't really go anywhere sonically. The message & lyrics are wonderful. It just doesn't move me the same way the rest of her discography usually does. Maybe it's intentional because she's trying to portray that she & Florence are on an even playing field with no need to compete (you know like the literal lyrics ).

However this live version did make me appreciate the song more & I am really happy for the fanbase to have another one of her songs played live for the first time.

I hear you on the lack of progression, but I actually quite like the way the bridge drifts off at the end, like it's going into dawn after a night out, or into a reminiscence.

I was there! Besides the UNBELIEVABLE show, it was so funny when we were in line and we started hearing her rehearse Hey Girl 

I mean, it is not my favorite song, but I am glad we got a live performance, which was indeed great

Well if it's any consolation, it's not like it's a staple on the setlist, so it's not really a spoiler for your shows unless she pulls it out again. 

On the bright side, at least you were able to listen to it and enjoy it and know that she remembers the Joanne album, and maybe you can manifest some Joanne love for one of your shows.

Yeah, I've kinda pieced together that she does surprise songs at the piano and at the end of the show by now  

There's no way of knowing what she'll do at my shows so aside from "there will be a surprise" I remain unspoiled
