Not even sure why it matters either way. Its not 2005 anymore. We have streaming and algorithms. U can absolutely avoid songs in the top 40 that are not to your liking with ease and it doesnt affect anyone at all lol

the issue was never rap, it’s that monoculture died and streaming / tiktok took over radio and TV

Every genre of modern music is stolen from black people. So you can make this argument for literally anything being more successful than rap.
