Love it. Miss thing is maaaaaad. She sure as hell hasn't lost her edge to write and I hope this record opens something further in her produce more music now. They talked on Miss Me about how David basically was the anti-Michael and  put her musical and artistic endeavors down. The album feels extremely personal and I think it was a lot of therapy for her to write it - not necessarily a gay club banger andrer banger one, but her experiences feel relatable to an extant. Love her, hope we get more of her in the future, hope the trolls don't come for her too hard.

It's amazing. Maybe a controversial take, and lily has always been an exceptional song writer with genuinely real topics in each song, but I think she is a much better song writer than Taylor :huntyga:

Not to pit them against each other! But Taylor is constantly praised for her song writing and I think Lily really is underrated and is often forgotten. She's incredible

She's one of the best pop singer-songwriters of this century tbh. Things didn't go right for her and she made some sacrifices too regarding her career but her talent is undeniable. She's never been taken too seriously because she's not a HAC girl but my point stands. This album too has some great storytelling. Ngl I wanted to give her a hug on many occasions.

Sheezus is her only misfire so far (and even that had nice tracks). A solid 8/10 I'd say. She got her ex GAGGED for good :partysick: Also the way she said It's Not Me, It's You on the ending track :traumatica: the memories :traumatica:

Is there some reason my LG7 isn't here? Has she died or something?

What’s everyone’s top three so far?

P*ssy Palace, Dallas Major, and Tennis for me, but I haven't really savored the album in full yet.

Agree with eeeeverything she apparently wrote the album in 10 days. What a talented queen. And the way she drags him throughout the album is brilliant. I really hope the album does well and it encourages her to write and sing more

but ja, truly no shade (stream No Shame now), but you can kinda tell. I think the writing is really strong and the story telling from track to track throughout the album slaps, but the production could have been more cohesive and polished if she'd sat on it for a little longer in the studio. Then again, as I said, I think it was a very needed process for her and she said she needed the record to be out there (also the reason why there has been no pre-era/lead up) and I get all of that. Also, studios are hella expensive and not everybody is as privileged as Gaga or Mrs Smith to just rent out a studio for unlimited time and rework songs over and over.
All of that being said, I hope she finds joy in promoting the album now, gets to connect to her fans (I hope I get to see her somewhere), finds a renewed passion for singing and follows this release up with another one in less than 7 years

I'm on my fourth listen rn and this is such a great album. I'll retract my original rating of 8/10 to a f*cking 10/10 she really ate with this.

Is there some reason my LG7 isn't here? Has she died or something?
