Rihanna has lost close to $36 million following the collapse of her luxury-fashion venture with LVMH.

The 37-year-old singer teamed up with the brand in 2019 to launch a high-end clothing label named Fenty, under the trade name Project Loud France, a nod to the performer’s fifth album Loud.

Her investment was substantial – Rihanna invested €29,988,000 and LVMH contributed roughly €30 million.

But the venture was wound down in 2021, citing a strategic refocus on her cosmetics and lingerie businesses.

Now, according to accounts from the British-registered arm of the business, Denim UK Holdings, through which Rihanna invested, the singer has made the massive loss of about $36 million.

When the label launched, it attracted attention for its pricing. For example, a padded denim jacket priced at nearly $1,000 and a corseted shirtdress at around $810.

Karma for ignoring whatever fans she has left :ladyhaha:  jk

But considering she never really produced nor really wrote a lot of her songs if memory serves, I cannot see why not release some songs or EPs for some extra cash dollas.

It never made any sense from the get go. Who was the demographic for this line? Her fans weren’t likely able to afford it. And anyone who had the money, why would they buy FENTY? It was just very poorly priced and positioned.

Yeah and tbh they barely had anything interesting the offer. They focused way too much on that corseted jeans dress/jacket that was shown everywhereeer.

but yea this fashion line was questionable. The pieces were so tailored and abstract they only look good on her.

Isnt she a billionaire? $37M is literally like 3.7% of her wealth or less. Thats nothing.

Ive invested heavily in the past. While overall across the board i made big gains, my worst performing investments dropped over 20%

A well diversified portfolio always wins some and looses some. I think this less of an event than some mignt think.

and how do you feel about gaga being worth hundreds of millions of dollars? how do you feel when she is touring, has a makeup line, is doing all these movies and raking in more per year than most people see in their entire lifetimes? if you truly believe that, why do you stan her
