The historical significance has to be part of the asking price imo and that would mean keeping pieces intact. That crown was found damaged, they might have even ditched it because of that.

I guess it's all a matter of opportunity: not necessarily harder to rob a museum than a jewelry store.

Nope, I was just walking by the Quai and I was surprised there were so many people outside in the pyramids explanade and so much police. Then I saw that kind of ladder they used, and I was confused about why so many people were taking pics of it. Then I read the news. :huntyga: It is such a shame the security was that weak :wtfga:

Apparently they suppressed nearly 200 jobs in security and technic aspect of the Louvre so no wonders... So sad.
