Morphine Prince 109,653
CAIRO, Oct 3 (Reuters) - Hamas said on Friday it would agree to some aspects of U.S. President Donald Trump's plan to end the Gaza war, including releasing hostages and handing over administration of the enclave, but that it would seek negotiations over many of its other terms. In a copy of the statement seen by Reuters, Hamas issued its response to Trump's 20-point plan after the U.S. president gave the Palestinian militant group until Sunday to accept or reject the proposal. Trump has not said whether the terms would be subject to negotiation, as Hamas is seeking. Notably, Hamas did not say whether it would agree to a stipulation that it disarm, a demand by Israel and the U.S. that it has previously rejected. In its statement, Hamas said it "appreciates the Arab, Islamic, and international efforts, as well as the efforts of U.S. President Donald Trump, calling for an end to the war on the Gaza Strip, the exchange of prisoners, (and) the immediate entry of aid," among other terms. I sadly think the chance of that has gone. I just hope the seemingly inevitable one state solution is actually equitable, but I'm not holding my breath. Taumaturg0 1,350
Hope thet if the cease fire is achieved it actually impacts the civilians in Gaza positively, and that it brings more attention to the Israeli government's actions moving forward and more control by the global community. And I sincerely hope the people of Palestine can be free from both Israel and Hamas

Besides the plight of Palestinians (lbr this will only amount to a second Nakba and nothing else), I think this will also be the end of Israel as the world once knew it. I fully expect it to be run as a full blown theocracy serving primarily the ultra-orthodox Jews in a couple decades. All the effort in the 90s amounted to nothing. The West ruined the Middle East for good in collaboration with the corrupt regimes over here. Is there some reason my LG7 isn't here? Has she died or something? 1

There's this thing that called the statue que, that means, it's beneficial for everyone, from the US, to the EU, and the arabic countries especially Qatar, that the Palestinians will always lose. Israel will end up being the bad kid that everyone is pissed about, so they could show their voters how strong they are, but after a week, everyone will forget and be friends with Israel again and just like that the Palestinians will be forgotten until the next war. The pro-Palestine protestors will go back home, fold the flag, look at the mirror and feel good about themselves "we did it, we are good people", some would even try their luck in politics.. Everyone will gain something from this war, except the Palestinians. The biggest winner from the war is Qatar, they gained some kind of NATO-like agreement with the USA, they paid Hamas, they paid Netanyahu inner circle and paid Trump with gifts and good will, they orchestrated this whole war and now they made the USA their guarding bitches. Bambino 24,321
I do hope the killing will stop soon just for the sake of these innocent civilians trapped in a situation they never asked for But what I hate about this is how the world associates Palestine only with Gaza. Like hello, why is nobody talking about the West Bank? Just because there's no Hamas in there doesn't mean things there are wonderful. The West Bank is becoming a prison with all the checkpoints and daily raids. Edited October 7, 2025 by Bambino 1

Because they only cares about you when you are the victim and right now the Palestinians at the West Bank are not victim enough to make them care. Gaza was always a distraction so Israel could take more lands from the West Bank. Nobody's even talking about the Israeli settlers who raids villages and burning houses, cars, and even murdering people. And once Gaza and Israel will enter a ceasefire, all the people who "cared" will not care anymore and the world will move on and the idea of a Palestine will just be forgotten. Yes, why is nobody talking about unifying Gaza and the West Bank? Those countries who recognized Palestine and want Hamas out of rule in Gaza, why aren't they pushing for a unified PA rule in both Gaza and the West Bank? I know the current Israeli government is the worst and doesn't want a Palestinian state whatsoever and works hard to dismantle the Palestinian Authority (PA), but the PA always talks about its wish to live side by side in peace with Israel. The PA ALWAYS condemns attacks against civilians in Israel and Jews around the world but I don't see the Israeli government doing the same when it comes to Palestinians. A government change in Israel is a key factor.
Bambino 24,321
Day one of Israel and Hamas indirect talks ends on ‘positive’ note in Egypt The first day of resumed indirect talks between Israel and Hamas in Egypt ended on a positive note, amid hopes of a potential deal to implement United States President Donald Trump’s 20-point plan to end the war on Gaza, multiple sources told Al Jazeera and other media outlets. Negotiators are set to return for more discussions on Tuesday. https://www.aljazeera.com/news/2025/10/7/day-one-of-gaza-peace-talks-ends-on-positive-note-in-egypt

AND Israel will use any excuse whatsoever to do whatever it does to Palestinians under the pretext that it's defending itself. The only ones losing here are Palestinian civilians who are now left without families, homes, food and water and basically life itself.
