I was really hopeful, then Father Figure sort of killed the vibe, I wouldn’t have placed it there. 

Something I’m struggling to understand is what exactly is she trying to say with this album, it leads nowhere. Also, how does the album’s branding align with this sound ?

There’s some good highlights though, I really liked Wood, TFOO, and Elizabeth Taylor.

Just listened to it. Some songs have some potential to be good if they were reworked a bit, but overall... same generic basic milquetoast TS. No new ground, no upbeat tracks, no artistic growth; just a teenager in a billionaire's body doing what a teenager in a billionaire's body does best. HBDUWM would have saved this album if it were a Taylor track, and as someone who dislikes HBDUWM bc it sounds too much like Taylor, that's saying something. Do I hate the album? No. Do I like it? No. Did I wish more from it? When don't I? 3.5/10 at best from moi.

Agreed, HBDYWM, no matter how it sounds like a TS song, has that edge in it. Only speaks how Gaga would've crushed it if she use TS' formula.

Only about halfway through, but it’s not what I expected so far. I was expecting a return to her pop fun music, like 1989, Reputation. So far this feels quite… lowkey? I dunno. Music that you kinda just bop your head along to. 
 

It definitely keeps Mayhem as the album of 2025. For the vocals alone.
