Which Gaga's song ...

...sounded totally different from what you expected when you first read its title?

I mean, when I first read "Plastic Doll" I was sure it would be a glitchy/hyperpop/bubblegum bass bop and it turned out ... the way it did :huntyga:

The same thing happened with "How Bad Do You Want Me". In my head, it would sound similar to Scheisse, a very "Euro EDM" with dark synths and a pulsating beat. I don't mean to be shady, it's just that I create expectations when I read the song titles.

Has this ever happened to you?

NUTELLA

I thought "Don't Call Tonight" was going to be the "Dancin' In Circles" of the album

Blade of Grass... I was thinking it would be a song with metal elements and super hard bass hahaha then once I learned what it was about I didn't know what to expect, but not a ballad. Love the song though

Poltergeist

Idk why but when I saw that Sine From Above was featuring Elton, I was sure it'd be a boring ballad, turned out to be the only song with wow factor during my first album listen (and it was the last one that leaked :messga:), and one of my favorite Gaga songs to this date

I've been getting messages from my deep waters

I thought Heavy Metal Lover would sound like Electric Chapel. They compliment each other so well after all these years and I usually listen to them together.

Coming from Disease and Abracadabra, I thought “The Beast” would be some type of experimental Heavy Metal Lover type of song.

How Bad Do U Want Me was giving me Do What U Want vibes because of the name but also thought it’d be like this slow Sex Dreams type of song.

Killah with Gesaffelstein name attached to it made me think it’d be some type of Scheiße german techno song more like Pursuit or his usual music. Still love it though, one of the best surprises and gets your energy going.

CHROMATICA as a whole album made me think it would be more like Disease, Perfect Celebrity, Electric Chapel, Heavy Metal Lover because of the cover and the Paper Magazine pictures that reminded me of Arca. I wouldn’t change the album we got and I appreciate it so much now and that lead us to what Mayhem is which is next level Gaga. Thank GOD she was inspired to write Disease, Abra, Vanish Into You etc.

i thought killah was going to sound like anything off of either aleph or hyperion.  imagine my surprise when the literal gesaffelstein feature did not sound very gesaffelstein on first listen to me.

do you guys mind if i scream about the olympics

Back when The Fame Monster was about to be released we had Bad Romance, Alejandro (demo + promo single) and Dance In The Dark (promo single). There were fake snippets floating around and people were saying So Happy I Could Die was very dancey like Dance In The Dark and that Monster was like Bad Romance but darker which obviously has that RedOne sound all over it but in my head it was more like Perfect Celebrity + Judas or what Porcelain Black and Nicole Scherzinger ended up doing with him.

Perfect Illusion.. we all thought it's going to some acid trip trans bitch of a song and we got a lame attempt with a 5 second Psychedelic sound that Kevin created in 1 minute and Bloodpop made a poop out of it

So sploosh your juice all over me you Riverboy

Shadow Of A Man :selena: the disappointment :selena: (sorry)

Same for Babylon, oh my god. From the Haus Labs snippet to the album version. And for Free Woman, I didn’t expect anything too good and I still ended up disappointed :messga:

BUT I was also happily surprised by soooo many songs! Especially Abracadabra I think, I wasn’t expecting such a serve at all. From the snippet, I had figured out it would sound like Pablo Vittar’s remix of Fun Tonight :deadbanana:
