2School4Cool 6,461
Gaga's comment/joke at tonight's show about wearing old tour costumes one day when she's older and out of ideas gave me an idea. LADY GAGA PRESENTS: A JOURNEY THROUGH TIME AND SPACE ACT I: NEW YORK CITY - Gaga begins the show in New York, where it all began. The scenery is very Monster Ball-esque, with neon signs, broken down cars, etc. She plays songs from The Fame and The Fame Monster. At the end of the act, she sings Paparazzi and is confronted by The Fame Monster, but unlike the Monster Ball, this time, The Fame Monster wins. She is captured and falls into a deep sleep, only to wake up on... ACT II: G.O.A.T. - Gaga awakens imprisoned in a castle on G.O.A.T., a Government Owned Alien Territory in space. She must fight her way to freedom while singing songs from Born This Way. She makes her way through corridors, and ultimately confronts Mother G.O.A.T., killing her and leaving the castle behind, having freed the people of G.O.A.T. However, her journey is far from over. Her battles on G.O.A.T. have left her battered and weak, so she calls upon the goddess of love to ease her pain. The goddess of love guides her to the planet... ACT III: Venus - Arriving on Venus, Gaga is surrounded by alien-esque beings, reminiscent of the inflatable outfits worn by the background dancers during the artRAVE. Gaga embodies the spirit of Aphrodite, easing her pain with dancing, sex, and must keep the party going as she dances through songs from ARTPOP. But the party cannot go on forever. She boards a spacecraft to travel through space and search for her next mission. ACT IV: Space - On a rocket-ship themed piano with visuals representing planets and stars, Gaga soars through space. She can travel through time to visit moments from the past, present, and future. Songs are from Joanne, A Star is Born, and other miscellaneous surprise songs from past albums. She reaches her final destination, landing on... ACT V: Chromatica - In order to heal and fulfill her mission, Gaga must bring unity to the tribes of Chromatica. Each song represents a different tribe, but they ultimately come together, finding peace amongst each other. This final battle brings peace to Gaga as well. She is finally able to return to Earth having accomplished her mission. Finale: Back to New York: - Gaga feels complete after her journey. The different parts of herself are now one. She can exist in freedom, celebrating all of the light and darkness that has brought her to this moment. She returns home and performs songs from MAYHEM. gagzus 18,258
I mean she did say she was trying to make a conscious effort to be sustainable over the last few years and reuse things so I can totally see more pieces form her early days coming back into her rotation at some point. She’ll probably save them for her Greatest Hits/Retirement tour in like 30 or so years though.
bxr 1,105
This is a really fun world build, the narrative integrity feels like it works on levels, there’s so much room to really explore the multisensory / multimodal elements within the performance and architecture … for Act IV, “Midheaven” came to mind, it captures the interdimensional open world astral / cosmic plane setting, while also echoing the specificity of the other Act realms / venues … for the Act I and Finale New York duality, I don’t know why but “Gotham” and “Eden” surfaced … maybe the dark and light sides of the City, where she starts out in Gotham with a mission to liberate or unite or illuminate and battles her way back to her home restored, which, something about the Big Apple felt Eden-esque, and with the Mayhem underscore, the Garden felt aligned … but, just musing … kudos abound on the stellar tour concept

I’d love to see what Gaga could do with these concepts. If she ever were to do an “eras tour” this is how I see her doing it, as a story that represents the journey of her career See The Best In Everyone
