Don't think the tweets are 100% true though. For Partition in the tweet they name Beyonce as the only writer but the credits for the song on Wikipedia have 7 writers, Survivor appears to have 3 writers, Independant Women 4 writers...

She has writing camps that I highly doubt that she attends considering how private she is, and artists sending her demos...

Well you can respect her as a performer but she doesn't write anything, she maybe changes a word or two and gets writing credits... Even adlibs can get you writing credits

I find it funny the Lose My Breath is heavily sampling this, like it's the major part of the song, without it, the song is something else completely.

 

But they are all "writers" and "producers" getting money from something they found on the internet or whatever lol

While these guys who actually played the instruments got nothing, maybe not even an acknowledgement.

Many of the songs were co-written with Kelly, but Matthew always snatched the credits from her, so it's another shitty.

 

Matthew was an asshole and treated the other girls like backdrops, but they were a big part of the creation of the songs, but only Bey got the credits and the money.

 

BDay had writing camps and was recorded in a month, Deja Vu is the only song she's not credited as a writer, if u have writing camps.. you're not the main writer.

Afaik, writers and co-writers can be given credit for writing any part of the musical composition. It's the same reason why Gaga's producers say that she always writes her own stuff even though she's listed as a co-writer on like 96% of her catalog (she's also very generous giving those credits, imo).

Yeah but Beyonce has 60+ writers on her albums, writing camps that I highly doubt she attends, and artists sending her demos (like Miley for CC)... She's not a songwriter no matter how her fans lie to themselves that she writes her music

honestly, who tf cares, every pop star has writers on the payroll.

We are really fortunate that gaga writes most of her own stuff, that's not the norm usually.

The way her songs come together and why so many are credited in her projects is pretty well documented.

I thought it was very well known that she actually doesn't write anything... Even some songwriters said they have to give up writing credits or at least a substantial split to Beyoncé if they want their songs to be released by her... actually if they want to write for her to begin with lol  A mess

Some of those larger credits also come from (proper) sampling credits. I'm not saying that Beyonce is a singer/songwriter, but it does take talent to Frankenstein together the different demos and lyrics she's given and stitch them into a coherent composition.

That's the one thing that I don't get regarding criticism of Beyonce's songwriting and artistry. Do we not think directors like Spielberg, Scorsese, Hitchcawk (I can't with the censor ), etc. aren't talented directors because they don't write all (if any) of their screenplays? Generally speaking (and not shading you in particular).
