Amazon Prime announces new documentary “Zara Larsson: Up Close”

Prime Video‘s next feature doc out of Sweden will be Zara Larsson – Up Close.

The 90-minute film will look into the life of Swedish pop star Zara Larsson both on and off stage, and is billed as “an intimate and honest portrait of ambition, self-image, and what it truly takes to reach the top of the music industry.”

The doc will launch on November 20 around the world. Lise Bergvall from Scandinavian Content Group is the producer.

Larsson, who won Sweden’s Got Talent aged just 10, has become one of the country’s most popular recording artists through songs such as “Lush Life”, “Never Forget You” and “Symphony”, which she made with Clean Bandit.

The doc follows her during a pivotal year as she finalizes new album Midnight Sun. It portrays an “uncompromising artist with sky-high ambitions, while also revealing the young woman navigating personal challenges, self-doubt, and the relentless pressure of the global music industry.”
