I was in awe, the catwalks made the entire show highly dynamic. Truly a party without compare. And while I haven't seen the Mayhem Ball in person (and never will), I have to admit: It is a complete experience and eclipses the Artrave in all aspects. Yes for me it's the BTWB stage that gives it the edge, it's my favourite tour stage of all time and one of my favourite things Gaga has done. It's flawless, every aspect of the production is tied into the narrative of the show. But it terms of raw energy and cathartic fun ArtRave. I know it was a different time (lol at this quality^ ) but the stage design was like 8ft. tall. And the lighting was very elementary and uninspired. It just could have been so much bigger and grand, and so many parts of the show looks really rushed and thrown together. For ARTPOP to be this boundary-pushing, defiant record, the show itself sort of falls flat. It def has its moments but it doesn't even come CLOSE to Mayhem. IMO Mayhem is the full realization of what she's wanted to say, create and perform for years. Everything about it speaks to her aristry: the stage, the costumes, the story, the set, etc. It truly honors her career while still pushing boundaries and being fresh. 1 Quote Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

Her energy in the Paris livestream is amazing and it’s by no means a bad show, but almost every other show (but especially the MAYHEM Ball) shits all over it.
