Is Michael, the venture capitalist who built his fortune by profiting off the most inhuman and immoral industry in America, not her actual friend? 6 minutes ago, Monstermilo said: taylors the one whos been caught associating with the most amount of MAGA folks Yeah. Because as already discussed - celebrities don't care about politics. Like you talk about double standards - lets look at yours. Fiancé saying a PR line fed to him by his employer after years of liberal activism in the sport = Maga. Fiancè being a right wing venture capitalist who's fortune comes from Pharma industry = Very liberal Like the sooner we accept *all* celebrities are bad people the better lol

Social politics has zero effect on their lives. The obscene wealth cuts them off from any negative politics entirely. Politics to celebrities is a brand. They use it, when needed, to get ahead or improve their image. And ignore it when it won't benefit them. Look at the comparison between how Liberal celebs campaigned in 2024 vs 2020. In 2020, they turned out in droves and were everywhere believing that the side they picked would win and that it was important PR to be involved. In 2024, they did the bare minimum if they even did anything. They saw their side as a lost cause and didn't want to get wrapped up in a failure. Politics is sport for them. Honestly I see it sliiiightly less cynically. I think in 2020 they saw it as a real fight and 2024 probably a cakewalk since in many respects a lot of people did! But let’s remember Beyonce *did give Kamala use of Freedom fairly early in her candidacy. Idk it’s not huge efforts ofc but I think that they like many probably weren’t thinking Trump would win again. It seemed less and less likely as time went on. And liberals more than anyone tend to get lax on politics when it seems less dire. But I do otherwise agree with you

Even if they don’t speak, it’s always a bad look to even be near people like them and it’s just easier than dealing with the PR that eventually comes later. Yeah basically I doubt they pal around with them but Beyoncé has long been the type to kind of smile and move through the room and do the job. That’s why she is where she is. She knows how to navigate spaces she doesn’t like by now. despite whatever Personal misgivings she might have she’s always been able to put them aside and smile. I actually think among other reasons, that poise is why she’s so looked up to by other celebrities. I mean sh*t pretty hurts is basically that lmfao now do I think that is the *moral thing to do? Eh. I think it’s an enormous privilege to be able to say I can put my feelings aside and sit here with the antichrist (Jared) bc it’s just one night.
