I dont think Progressives are violent at all, but I think everyone who feel entitled that their violence is good is the problem. Yes progressives are violent. Every political spectrum needs to be violent in order to push through their beliefs. That's because politics are violent in nature.

Did queer, black people, workers or any other opressed group ever gain more rights by asking nicely? Sorry to say that but pacifists have absolutely no clue about politics. 

I'm not saying violence is good, but that it's needed to some certain degree. 

Also: Progressives can be centrists (look at the austrian or german green party for example), or even right wing (look at liberals, or democrats) too. What we need is a radical left in order to change the system by its roots. Because the root of evil is capitalism/private property, which also inevitably leads to patriarchy, white supremacy, individualism (NOT individuality), poverty and much more.

Im not a pacifist, but using violence because u think its a good idea is different from using violence for survival. Yes violence can be used in rare cases as a last resort, and only if necessary, and the goal should be to harm reduce. Even when we have to do violence, we should be sad about it, not happy about it. People who commit violence for survival are in a completely different moral category than people here saying Bon Appetit and meming death. These progressives that are happy about violence are the ones who would turn into Nazis if they were born in Nazi Germany, I wouldnt trust them with my civil rights or children.

And this is why no matter how much I have progressive views, I would never call myself one, because progressives today are 200 years behind real progressive values. And its sad that this is the best humans have to offer today.

And just a reminder that this kind of argument to justify violence is what Israel uses to genocide Palestinians everyday
