Allowing people the freedom to identify as they truly are is not segregation. 

This feels like a very hypocritical take from someone complaining we aren't unifying to fight the bigger enemy.

This is not the point here. You can be whatever you want to as long as you don’t need to still be labeled and put in different boxes inside the same community constantly. We are all humans after all and independently of our individualities, we should be actually just come together for one another. I am gay and I said what I said about segregation inside the community because it’s a real issue.

Honestly what is the issue with wanting your identity to be recognised? 

Labels absolutely should not be forced on a person - but it is wrong to say that people don't get to ask for and want respect for a label that feels true to them. 

You can't claim you are in favour of respect and equality if you're actively dismissing and invalidating people's identity.

You’re getting me wrong by saying I’m dismissing other’s identity which is not true.

What I’m trying to say is that the fight for solely pushing labels is been more of a concern than other root and real urgent issues, starting by the constant and never ending bias and disrespect within the community.

It's worth pointing out how near perfectly identical the economy currently is to what it was before the Wall Street crash in 1929.

The Wall Street Crash came on the back of a number of key factors. People's savings had been predominantly invested into speculation on the stock exchange, agriculture was suffering due to falling prices and as a result farmers were building up unmanageable debt, and the consumer goods industry was increasingly struggling to maintain sales due to low wages. As a result, unemployment was going up further exacerbating the issue of depressed sales due to poor purchasing power among consumers. 

Its near identical to the issues facing the US economy and the global economy right now nearly 100 years later. 

And its all because we've torn up every protection the Greatest generation and the Silent generation put in place. God I hope Regan & Thatcher are suffering in hell.

You make excellent points and lay out exactly why I can't shake this anxiety. It's scary because I just don't get how people are getting up and carrying on like there isn't some tsunami of **** on the horizon

As long as at the end of the day we understand we come under one umbrella with however many labels it doesn't really matter

It has taken me 6 months to find a job and I settled on the first thing that bit. 
 

His tariffs will continue to hinder this - mix this with AI being the only thing to see your applications and automatically deny you and companies wanting to keep labor at Covid level lows - we are doomed.

It depends. Maybe if you’re more of a sympathizer it won’t seem so highlighted.

When you’re really engaged or part of it you can see how divided the community can be; just look at the different kind of parties for dedicated folks and groups we have...

Maybe if we talk about cis identities solely, I would agree. But when it comes to drag queens, trans, feminine gays, fat, old people and (very often) black folks, then things will be different.
