I mean, what would be the point of discussion, if we all only had 100% positive opinions?

Gaga's my favorite artist in the world, but it doesn't mean I'll eat up literally everything she creates, and I don't expect it from others as well. If the criticism is constructive, it's actually interesting to read opinions different from mine.

We just have to agree to disagree. Don't call the fandom 'little complainers', because it's not like EVERYONE complains about a certain thing. Some people do, and they have the right to. It's impossible to please everyone.

Can't we just rejoice the fact that our idol is so versatile, that there's always something to discuss?

I’ll admit I haaaated that song when I first heard it. Thought it was a corny Taylor copy. When I began accepting it for what it was, pure sugar rush pop, I gave in. Now i really enjoy it.

There’s constructive criticism… and there’s GGD 

Joke aside, I have to say GGD has always felt safer and more open-minded than most other forums and social media platforms out there. It’s literally the only place online where I allow myself to interact with total strangers. That being said, we’re a melting pot of people with vastly different ages and backgrounds and some debates make it painfully obvious. I’ve been here since the BTW days, but the past couple years I have felt at times the wish to leave, or at least to interact less, ngl.

I do agree, there are a lot of people that don't know how to voice opinions in a constructive fashion, which can get annoying. But I think it just comes with the fact that people are getting less and less articulate in the age of distraction. As someone who's been on this site since 2010, I feel like i definitely see less celebration or discussion around her work, and more quick on off complaints or praises. I've learned to just try and ignore the "noise" and engage with the comments that actually have something to say (good or bad). 

But yes, we stan one of the most talented artists on the planet. I think we do need to give the girl a break sometimes

i love gaga so much, been a fan since i saw her on miss universe ...... 2008

most of the stuff she does, i love 

mayhem is so good and its gotten even better with time. 

i think shes one of the most talented ppl out there

but i dont just blindly like everything she does - i dont agree with every choice she makes.... and i dont think theres anything wrong with critiquing your fave, as long as it comes from a constructive place.

This is true. Along with complaining, the main fun of this website is watching members fight. Usually they happen out of nowhere, that’s the thrill of it.

The adlibs on the final chorus remind me of posh life so I have a soft spot for the song and don’t see it is a Taylor copy for that reason. Taylor just does this style of pop well!

Yeah because so many people on here are DYING to reply to people to tell them they are wrong for feeling what they’re feeling and why they’re wrong and imply that we’re out of touch for feeling how we feel, etc.

so many people on here just cannot resist replying to other peoples perspectives just to counter them and dispute them.

a lot of people are not capable of reading someone else’s perspective and thinking to themselves “huh interesting they see it that way but I disagree” and move on. They just HAVE to reply and tell us why they disagree and how they’re right and were wrong blah blah blah

The criticism of Gaga on this site is one thing. Usually it’s pretty tame, respectful, naive, and ungrateful. Where else are we going to voice our opinions on her work if not here? We aren’t always going to love everything she does (I like TDD).
The real issue is how people talk about other women here. I’ve said it over and over. The disgusting things said about female artists on this site would (and probably does) make Gaga sick to her stomach. I know it’s a Lady Gaga forum, but you guys tend to get more upset with “little managers” than you do about fatphobia, racism, and misogyny happening on the same damn forum. I’m sorry, but a thread of people calling Lizzo a fat flop is a little more upsetting than people disagreeing on whether or not a song is great.
