Personally I don’t think they’re bad, moreso boring. But this SITE would be boring if it was just a YASS echo chamber.

Those people need to SHUT UP with that creepy **** tbh. We’re not her friends, we’re her fans/customers.

This “relationship” is transactional & discussion/critique/complaints are a natural part of that dynamic.

So I just joined this forum this year, was thinking of using it to keep up with gaga news so that i dont need to follow several social accounts or sources out there.

But turned out this site not only updates the news later than the other sources, it is also full of ****.

Yes it's a forum. You are free to express and communicate whatever you think. But I feel like oftentimes the negativity outweights the positivity, at this rate you might as well change it to a snark forum of gaga.

At least on twitter I can still block all the unwanted keywords and accounts. But here I can't block those rude and disrespectful users and comments.

Just my two cents as a newcomer on this site.

we are an older crowd here. Gaga feeds us a lot with the album tracks and some singles. But her biggest hits and a lot of marketing are usually geared towards younger people now. So, idk, I don't really think it's that much of a problem. People feel how they feel lol.

You can add users to your ignore list. Go to account > ignored users > add new user to ignore list. 

And for what it’s worth, your two cents as a newcomer are very valuable. I find your posts very sensible and I wish there were more people like you on this forum!

I used this site as a teen, and made a new account when Patrick and I started our podcast. It's been great to reengage with the wide array of opinions monsters have on Gaga's output as an artist and celebrity, as well as to remember that not everyone thinks or feels the same way we do about her ongoing legacy. 

The negativity can be annoying, but for the most part I try to remember that the common denominator here is that we all love and respect Gaga so much. For many of us, she changed/shaped/saved our lives when we were young. I think that's why the stakes can get really high when people have differing opinions – monsters often defend their personal impressions of Gaga/her work because those impressions represent more than just fandom! 

Around the Joanne era, things got quite negative which is when I disengaged from the fan community online. If you need a break, take it! Complaining about the site only brings more negativity. Monsters will still be here when you're ready to return!

This is why I don't participate much here anymore.

Listening to TDD and watching the video I was sooo excited, dancing in my room, loving it. Came to the site and it was just people complaining. Exhausting really.

It does break fast here too, but it's more long form than Twitter.

i think also there WAS a lot of pressure on TDD because what happened to mayhem?? We got disease then abracadabra and then waited months before another single/MV and this is what we ended up getting - a tie in with a teen TV series.  
 

so honestly I do think the disappointment is valid… it was just a very underwhelming climax for this mayhem era.

One thing is disliking a song or video and talking about what you wanted it to be like "oh I wish Dead Dance had more edge to it, it needs a signature move, more needed to happen, I just don't like it it's the worst song on MAYHEM"

And then there's "Poor attempt to make something viral, its inauthentic, this looks like RICHY MADE IT (HELLO?!?!?), disney song.." so on and so forth, guys Ive heard more reasoning from magonners saying gaga is a copy

Sometimes that's true, e.g. 95% of people express instant and total love for Mayhem, and someone opens a thread complaining about the 5%. But right now .... the negativity around TDD is preposterous. Clearly a lot of people were expecting world hunger to disappear overnight when the (perfectly acceptable) video waa released, and when that didn't happen out came the pitchforks and the cries of 'Hang Tim Burton'.
