Should Gaga be a billionaire?

It feels a bit odd to wish for more wealth for someone who already has plenty.

But when it comes to Gaga, it’s different. She’s worked hard for everything she’s achieved, built her fortune on talent and dedication, and gives back through the Born This Way Foundation. If all that eventually takes her to billionaire status, so be it — it’s not really my place to judge. With the kind of work she does, the responsibilities, the pressure, and the downsides of being a world-famous celebrity, it’s far from an easy life. Honestly, I couldn’t do it.

The real issue isn’t with someone like Gaga, who’s earned her wealth through honest work and even gives back through the Born This Way Foundation. The problem is billionaires who hoard money for selfish gain.

Take Elon Musk, for example. His companies have benefited from tens of billions in public subsidies, yet he exploits workers and resources while flaunting excess. People like him could use their fortunes to actually change the world, but instead the money often goes into vanity projects and pointless overconsumption.

For me, wealth should be looked at in terms of what it does for the future of humanity and the planet. Overconsumption needs to stop, disposable junk like Temu’s products shouldn’t even exist, and our focus should be on ending human and animal suffering and pointless wars.

Easier said than done, of course. Selfishness runs deep in human nature and that’s exactly what holds us back.

genuinely and honestly i kno some of u are doing a bit but how can anyone seriously and honestly say that, i come from america and even thats such a ****ed notion knowing how little does get distributed, like we in the age of 2025 should not have famine, endangerment to animals, yet we do.

Isn't her current networth more than enough? Don't mean to start a fight but I'll never get why fans consider their fav "deserves" to be the richest like... That's not how life works. She deserves all the success, she deserves being considered a living legend, she deserves to reach new levels in terms of artistry and touching people's heart all around the world for generations to come. She - and anyone else - definitely do not deserves to have that amount of money, let alone becoming a billionaire

That's not realistic though, unless you want a word war 3 and billions dead, 'cause that's literally the only way that happens, the current world order is etched in blood and billionares are a part of it, just like millionares and you and me, be careful by what you wish for.

I get what you’re saying, but my view is simple: if you put in the work, you deserve the reward. At the same time, I believe wealthy people have a responsibility to give back to society, and those living in poverty should be supported until they’re able to stand on their own. In the end, we all have to contribute — both for ourselves and for the good of the community.
