I don't get how it'd be "extending/relaunching" the MAYHEM era when she's in the middle of a massively successful tour...The MAYHEM era is doing just fine on its own.

It's its own standalone project within MAYHEM; it's clearly connected to Wednesday. That said, she's also incorporating it into MAYHEM proper since the aesthetics and sound are very similar to what we've already gotten with the album/era. There's also tour merch with some of the lyrics, so she'll perform it on tour as well.

In what world is it *not* a part of MAYHEM tho? Literally the exact same production team, themes and sound fit into the album perfectly…

Let me delusional: if rumors are true and The Dead Dance is part of, let's say, an expanded edition of MAYHEM on streaming platforms (TDD + the two bonus tracks added), I don't think this will be the last move in this album rollout. As The Dead Dance will technically be a single, I'm hoping for another MV (not single) to end the era (a gift to fans) as she tends to do for previous eras (911, Joanne Piano Version)

So good news!

lol maybe my wording is wrong, so let me clarify, MAYHEM era is of course very alive and well, don’t worry gals I agree on best tour ever ongoing, career high ongoing… But remember Abra was 7 months ago! 

If Dead Dance is a direct MAYHEM era track :

- does it unlock additional MAYHEM goodies / deluxe edition / more singles or music vids to come VIY, GOE, or new tracks?

- or is it a big visual era closer (ala GUY film for ARTPOP, 911 for chromatica, MTN vid for Born This Way) …….

- OR is The Dead Dance a totally independent beast
