No one likes this album and still only dropped by 35%

The label payola and autoplay is insane

Playlisting is ruining the music industry, it forces people to listen to whichever songs lavel want

the people who commented negatively about this album are mainly fans of other pop girls.
every big artist has playlisting but it won't do much if people don't want to stream and Sabrina has huge fanbase, her last album sold over 100k on vinyl in the first week.

35% is a lot tho. Short n Sweet only dropped 13%. Mayhem dropped 23%. Like, 42M is still a lot, but she essentially more than doubled her loss than the previous album. That suggests much less retention.

is this good or bad??? i just bopped to this during my morning run

It’s within the “normal” range, but closely getting to the red zone. The thing is she only lost 13% with SnS, so this drop is twice as much. That I do consider somewhat bad because it could means less people were retained. Or it could also mean the increase in this debut was casual listeners, not actual fans, which are the ones who ultimately will sustain the album.

SnS is more like an anomaly, other albums like HMHAS had a 25% drop day 2, MAYHEM 24%, TTPD 42% etc

35% is a bit steep compared to SnS but it's on par with her peers.
