Its very obvious what happened with bloody mary was an anomaly and had a lot more to do with the extreme brain-rotting and trend following of gen Z, and less about it actually being a highlight in Gaga’s discography. not to discount that it IS an incredible song. i don't see them recreating even a fraction of that level of success purposely. From what we’ve heard so far, Dead Dance is definitely designed to be more of a “hit” Id say Bloody Mary definitely had the potential. Nearly every person i showed the song to loved it and ended up adding it to their playlist, i think if it would have been a single it very easily would have charted higher then Yoü and I, and possibly even the edge of glory. Obvi my hope is for MAYHEM deluxe but I’m satisfied knowing there’s a new song and video incoming. I’ve heard the leaked clips, it’s not much besides a chorus or pre-chorus.
