Ethel reached top 10 in the US by releasing the vinyl of a 3-year-old album... I wouldn't count her out so easily.

Not that either Ethel or Lana would care about that, I guess it's more about cultural impact. There's no denying Ethel is very much on the rise while Lana has basically been releasing the same music for the past 6 years... She wouldn't be starting this drama if she wasn't feeling some type of way.

eh whatever. I find the ethel stuff ****ed up but also gen z on the internet when they're young? yeah bad stuff happened and she isnt defending it. lana is also petty but does that blue blooded thing of feigning reasonability and oblivousness when they're feeling "attacked" to make their "opponent" look crazy so I put little stock in that either.

It's one of those things where no party here is 100% squeaky clean but everyone is trying to find a way to say one is. It's all just mess.

She has addressed it at length and has explained the state of mind she was in when she wrote those posts. This doesn't excuse them, but I think we all make mistakes, especially young isolated people craving for attention. I think it's important to understand where everyone's coming from and put an emphasis on educating people instead of cancelling them, which leaves no room for genuine redemption.

What was Lana's Lorde diss track? In 2013 Lorde said ''Without You'' sends a toxic message, but that was about it.
