Not when Michael Jackson, The Beatles, and Madonna exist lol. She may be the biggest artist of the 21st century - I’ll give you that. In my opinion, no numbers today can compare to when people had to physically leave their homes to buy music and go to the box office or call a hotline for concert tickets. Not to mention the fact that these artists got such a cult following without the internet where you could check up on their whereabouts and career updates at an instant

Although I have been able to accept that the GP yearns for mediocrity and the industry loves safe and palatable artists like Miss Swift.  And sadly, true visionaries are rarely celebrated during their lifetime.
