Why are people hating on Michael now?

For the longest time I feel like we’ve loved him and welcomed him. But the past few weeks I’ve seen SO much hate towards him (Reddit, here, etc.) Did something happen? I just see “he’s a capitalist”.. but do we know that..? Why are we just assuming he’s the most awful controlling person ever? Gaga seems genuinely ecstatic. She was depressed as **** with Carino..

Cause gays want to project their short love life onto Gaga, they first "love" the guy to death but few weeks later they are searching another one on Grindr and they think that Gaga should do the same. Pay them no mind sis!!!

The only time I encounter that was from user in this cult site who have weird bias against billionaires, but that is all.

They've been hating on him for a while, tbh. I think it's a mix of the fanbase not being used to her love interest being so involved in her life (which is a green flag, IMO). And a mix of people having the opinion that he is controlling her because he's so involved. It's really none of our business in the end. There's no way for us to know their relationship dynamic based on what little is shared with us. I think Gaga has been through enough relationships/engagements to be able to hold her own.

Obviously I’m not gonna tell people to change how they feel about capitalism and how rich people have a hand in it, but there has been quite a bit of people that try to spin their relationship into being abusive, or trying to downplay her own decisions since she’s become  more open about him. I mean, I’ve seen people dead serious say that he’s got her in a legal binding and he’s pulling the strings behind her every move and choice  I honestly don’t know how you can look at her on stage every night she performs and think she’s anything but simultaneously healthy and happy for the first time in her career, and if Michael’s responsible for that, then good for her.

And what do people mean by "controlling her"? What has she done wrong that points to her being controlled by him?

She is having her best year in a really long time, and she looks the happiest I have probably ever seen her. If that is "controlling her", then go Michael, keep doing it lol.

They think him being involved in the website, credited with lyrics on Mayhem, being credited at the end of the ball are all evidence of him "controlling" her. I swear I have a full-time job and a part-time one, but I still manage to be chronically online enough to see these posts. I wish I could find it, but there was a post saying that Michael reminded them of the way that Britney's dad controlled her

I mean, he's quite literally a venture capitalist...so yes...we do know he's a capitalist. But I frankly don't think that's a valid enough reason to dislike him.

People are projecting and think that he's controlling because he's been so involved in MAYHEM and the era's roll-out, which I think is stupid. 5 months later and I still stand by the fact that, sonically, MAYHEM is her best album. Not only that, but the roll-out for this era has been stellar. He's been nothing but a positive force in Gaga's life, and for some reason people don't like that.

Yeah thats insane tbh... specially given the results, an era that most people have deemed as Gaga's "Return to form/to her roots", with massive success all around, like I said, if thats thanks to Michael controlling her, then thanks Michael, because him pushing the buttons led to Gaga find a spark she hasnt had since Born This Way

Also, I remember someone saying back in the day that Gaga is extremely kind when it comes to credits, that even if you were just passing by and suggested 1 word for a song, if it ended up on it, you would be on the credits. Im sure that he might just give ideas that she probably asked him for, and she puts him in the credits for the ones she likes and thats it.
