But the past few weeks I’ve seen SO much hate towards him (Reddit, here, etc.) Did something happen? I just see “he’s a capitalist”.. but do we know that..? Why are we just assuming he’s the most awful controlling person ever? Gaga seems genuinely ecstatic. I think it's a mix of the fanbase not being used to her love interest being so involved in her life (which is a green flag, IMO). And a mix of people having the opinion that he is controlling her because he's so involved. It's really none of our business in the end. There's no way for us to know their relationship dynamic based on what little is shared with us. I think Gaga has been through enough relationships/engagements to be able to hold her own. But I frankly don't think that's a valid enough reason to dislike him. People are projecting and think that he's controlling because he's been so involved in MAYHEM and the era's roll-out, which I think is stupid. 5 months later and I still stand by the fact that, sonically, MAYHEM is her best album. Not only that, but the roll-out for this era has been stellar. He's been nothing but a positive force in Gaga's life, and for some reason people don't like that. I wish I could find it, but there was a post saying that Michael reminded them of the way that Britney's dad controlled her Yeah thats insane tbh... specially given the results, an era that most people have deemed as Gaga's "Return to form/to her roots", with massive success all around, like I said, if thats thanks to Michael controlling her, then thanks Michael, because him pushing the buttons led to Gaga find a spark she hasnt had since Born This Way Also, I remember someone saying back in the day that Gaga is extremely kind when it comes to credits, that even if you were just passing by and suggested 1 word for a song, if it ended up on it, you would be on the credits. Im sure that he might just give ideas that she probably asked him for, and she puts him in the credits for the ones she likes and thats it.
