Are we expecting a deluxe? If there will be, Sep 5 makes the most sense since it's near VMAs & Wednesday Part 2 premiere. She can release the single on Sept 3 then Deluxe album on Sept 5.

Surely they will get a better audience debut over the weekend and that way Dead Dance gets a full chart week. 

I guess they chose Wednesdays because the show is called Wednesday (?)  

And we've been in this situation before, when a song is attached to a movie or series, they could release it whenever the trailer or series premieres... Wasn't Hold My Hand released on a Tuesday?

Stupid Love, Rain On Me, Babylon, Garden of Eden snippets were floating around before they were released and I want to think that way less than 1% of people that get to listen to the final version of those songs even know about the leaks. 
 

I agree but everyone listened to Stupid Love before release... It was everywhere the whole month before it was released  From parties and clubs to fashion shows

And those songs actually stayed and are not leaving anytime soon. this is huge HUGE.

Or maybe Sept 1 (Monday) with the MV, and then the show boosts it further on Wednesday. Then she wouldn't have to go head-to-head with Sabrina's first day numbers and she can keep it for 2027 Grammys (which I'm guessing she'll do because Abracadabra is clearly a favourite to get nominated in major categories in 2026 Grammys).

Gaga has chosen pretty short time-windows between announcement and release with Mayhem's singles. 

So I wouldn't expect to hear anything untill friday
