To an extent. Can suggest people are interested in the song to wanna stream later.

 

Buuuuuut... the biggest boosts will be the first 3 weekends or so when the mpst people go whatch the movie. It will not be sufficient on its own to make Runway a hit unless it triggers additional secondary growth (tik toks, radio play, buzz, song sharing etc)

 

Its a good sign enough people are shazamming (at least on weekends) to make RW got top 10 on shazam but its too early to throw flowers. It could entirely fail to trigger any real momentum and the song will have limited confined success among movie fans and a specific base that is into this music.

 

I do not want to pessimistically rule out success cuz you never know. Gaga and Doechii are not small names in the industru and the movie is no small name either plus Runway is a grower for many people which is all positive forces for the song. But on the flip side the song isnt the most mainstream thing ever and outside the fashion movie setting is less of a go to sound so moderate success at best so far seems like the most likely outcome but lets see

So why is Gaga crickets about her 3 new songs? 

I wonder if she plans attending the MET Gala and perform them there... But after learning J*ff Bezos paid a lot to host this year's gala, idk if she would go... Apparently some decided not going because of that reason and it's a shame it happened this year as it could've been nice promo for the movie with the 4 leads + Gaga performing
