I still think people underestimate how well it’s done. All those stable weeks really did matter! Abra was the 2nd or 3rd single off Mayhem. Radio payola doesn’t exist for these — it’s just not realistic. Diseases got huge initial radio support, and look what happened to its performance (hint: it didn’t translate to organic interest and it tumbled once the 1st week radio payola was over). I’m fine with Debra not cracking the Billboard Hot 100 as long as it hit the Top 5 on the Global 200 — that’s far more impressive and reflects genuine worldwide traction. Debra is a global smash, a true Top 5 hit. We also know it was a highly competitive chart week (Kendrick’s post–Super Bowl week), and in any other week, it probably would’ve landed inside the Top 10 — maybe even Top 5. Also, a good radio chart performance doesn't translate well to streaming/digital numbers as these are two different demographics. Only thing, we'd got from it is bragging rights and 4-5 weeks extra on Hot 100 which would do almost no increase in song's overall units (SPS).
