Miley Cyrus says she has physical ability and opportunity but has no desire to tour

I’m not really a Miley fan, but I don’t get why people are having an issue with this? She basically gave up the entire rest of her teenage years to be on the road for a long time, which probably contributed to her becoming unhealthy. She never said she doesn’t like performing, she just doesn’t like how chaotic touring can be. She could always do residency type shows to get people to see her without giving up her stability

These all ultimately stem from the same issue, and it's her not being comfortable in that lifestyle anymore. She's constantly doing smaller live shows, though, so it's not as if she's never performing again. But touring is a very different beast and there's a reason so many artists say they don't really enjoy it after the first couple times. Her mom confirmed she was approached by The Sphere to do a residency in Vegas, which is something I can see her doing in the next couple of years.

The problem is that she never had a break from her vocal injury. Adele had a long break from singing after her injury in 2017, meanwhile Miley has never had any kind of a break from hers in 2019/2020. This is why her voice has been so raspy a lot. I thought she was finally getting better by 2023/2024, but it seems like it's been a bit harder for her than it should be. She really needs to rest her voice.

Why does she trash her own music, pleasant and proudly states that she does not want to tour (whatever the reason is) and acts like she hates her career overall? I'd be very dissppointed to be a stan of hers

Idk I feel like she’s been pretty upfront about not touring. At least as far as I’ve seen. She even said the film was in lieu of touring. I’d love to see her but I’m glad she is doing what she wants. I’d rather another album instead of a tour tbh. That goes with any artist for me

ABBA hated touring, and I’ll never have a chance to see them perform, but I don’t love them any less. 
 

I don’t think I’d ever expect myself to see Miley live anyway, but she can absolutely be any type of musician she wants without touring.
