Yeah, if the rumours about various rehearsals at MGM were true, it seems the most likely possibility.

I don't think soundchecks will have started yet when I saw Madonna in Seattle she didn't start til like an hour and a half before doors

The whole point of doing a soundcheck is to check the sound in the venue you’re performing in
