Honestly, cancelling a Vegas residency performance last minute is so much worse than a tour date, because a residency demands that the vast majority of fans have to travel in specifically to see her. She has to take care of herself but really a Vegas cancellation should be avoided at all costs.

I mean if her voice health is at risk she has to postpone.

This is one of the most legit reasons to postpone a show, because if she injures her vocal cords that would be a long recovery.

I think Kelly's case should be excluded when considering the cancelled tour epidemic

Having a talk show that runs 5 days a week can really put stress on your voice. Talking too much is one of the biggest culprits for the voice, esp on the belts and sustained notes. And of course Kelly's songs have a ton of those, way more than any current pop song.

Of course I'm not making excuses for her, all artists should be professional and have the discipline to take care of what's most important, in Kelly's case it's her voice. However, in tdy's pop music, there are only a handful of vocalists left, most songs in the past decade are less than an octave, some are even mostly talk-singing, almost none features the upper register or head voice anymore. And yes, Gaga's tour discography included! Most of her songs aren't very vocally demanding, excluding her jazz songs of course. 

On top of that, Kelly is one of the handful of artists who still choose to sing every note live, which I really respect, cause her songs aren't easy. But if you don't know the current standard of showbiz in pop, the only major artists who are still singing almost 100% live are only Kelly Clarkson, Lady Gaga, Bruno Mars, Adele, P!nk, and maybe 1-2 more. The rest all do some sort of lipping or live auto-tune. Fun fact, 70% of the Eras Tour is lipped, and the other 30% uses live auto-tune. Additionally, pitch-correction was used for shows that were tapped.

Gaga also started using pitch-correction too, esp during this MAYHEM era. Before MAYHEM she hardly uses it, that's why her performances usually have a few minor imperfections, which I admire. "Happy Mistake" performance on Kimmel on YouTube is probably her first time using pitch-correction for a performance uploaded on her YouTube. But trust me when I say this, almost all major artists use pitch-correction for their tapped shows and this has been the industry standard for abt a decade now. It's showbiz! That's why I really respect the few who prioritize artistry!
