It's been great. The alboom is very satisfactory. And I went to see her first ever performance for the era twice at Coachella.
And now I am looking forward to for the tour to start.

This era makes me realize I do not like Gaga like I wish to.

I think they fumbled the album roll out, but that was always going to be the risk of very obviously planning promo around JFAD plans.

But the music is brilliant, the promo tour was a true return to form and I'm excited for the Mayhem Ball.

My only qualm with the era is that the album feels unsatisfying. It’s as though 2 very different albums became one.

Even BTW and ARTPOP, which were all over the place, felt like complete works.

Mayhem needs 25 tracks to feel complete. Either that or.. it splits in two and then each gaining 4-5 more songs.

Just my personal opinion. I can’t tell if it’s strange to feel this way. :oprah:

Between the album, the two vids, and Coachella/Copacabana, I’m not sure how folks could be *starving*. I’m pretty well fed and am mostly craving a little treat.

This is my only qualm with the era.

I honestly kinda get this. I used to feel like each section needed a couple more songs to round out each vibe/mood, but I love the eclecticism now, but either way I’d love to get more music so…:vegas:

Yes! Somebody gets it!!

One moment I’m feeling all dark and powerful and suddenly it’s a disco party. It’s so jarring. :kry:

I feel that too, like I enjoy Mayhem but it just feels like a bunch of songs put together. I never really play it front to back like Chromatica. Still a solid album but not my fave, the flow feels kinda anticlimactic.

Even if Gaga had released MAYHEM and nothing else I would have been happy. But besides giving us one of her best albums so far, she gave us several fun and interesting interviews, two amazing music videos, an entire episode of SNL, TV performances, Coachella and she took The Art of Personal Chaos to Mexico, Rio de Janeiro (breaking attendance records) and Singapore. And now she’s about to start a world tour.

I often feel like this fanbase doesn't appreciate enough what we get. We spent 5 years waiting for a new album and after a month of MAYHEM, people were already saying that they were tired of it and couldn't wait for LG8. I understand that the streaming era has fundamentally changed how people consume music, but I think that with this behavior we run the risk of taking for granted big and important things.
