No, it wouldn't be more neutral than a person because it itself is incapable of making neutral responses because it is a product and as a product it'll most likely tell you what you want to hear or agree with any point you make. Emotions aren't facts so this is easily achieved. It only knows what to say to you because of human internal biases to begin with.

The truth of the matter is that there is no such thing as a truly neutral party. People just want other people to be the best they can be and that takes being empathetic and caring, which AI can't be.

Even trickier, by using it longterm it adjusts to YOU specifically. So the more you use it the more it figures out not only what people typically want to hear but how you talk and what you want, so you are destined to create your own personal echo chamber if you are not careful.

This sad though. Imagine being able to afford therapy but opting for a bot. However we need to keep in mind that therapists aren't infallible either, sometimes theres a disconnect,  they make mistakes, lack tact or loose patience. I dont want to completely knock your person , j hope they find a therapist that is a right match for them.

For sure. I also had a therapist once that was lowkey awkard and useless

That said overall id still trust them to be helpful way more than a programmed AI with no real feelings or consciousness that largely tells you what you want to hear
