Miley herself seems to have lost interest in the album so not surprised. Love her as a musician and the album has some great moments, but I don't feel great about her attitude/public persona lately.

Wow, sad 'cause it's a really good album... 

They should've released Golden Burning Sun as the lead like Miley wanted, followed with a collab with Beyoncé on Easy Lover. The second half of this album is great – Every Girl You've Ever Loved, Pretend You're God... 

Columbia really played her, even though she does need to do more promo on her end too. I get where she's coming from, she's been at this for decades but still, if you care and want your music to be heard, you need to put more effort into promoting it...

Well thats the way the cookie crumbles. She didnt really do any favours during the promo cycle, I watched her interviews and they didnt inspire me to press play at all.

tbh miley has always been over whatever era she was in as soon as it started. mainly because the songs are finished before the album release (and that's the part she enjoys) and then once it's released it's all about promo (which she has always hated) so she always moves on straight to the next thing. i do find it weird though that her most successful era was followed by such a poor performance. the album is great too, i get there isn't necessarily a song that sounds like a #1 hit for radio on it but it definitely deserved a much stronger performance at least for its first week.
