Simone Biles and Riley Gaines have sparked a war on the internet over Trans women in sports. Riley Gaines is a Turning Points USA spokeswoman who supported Trump due to tying for fifth place in swimming with a trans athlete. She called out a minor in high-school for playing on a women's sports team, and Simone Biles called her sick for it. She also said that she should pick on someone her own size, who in Simone Biles own words would "ironically be a man". Riley Gaines responded by accusing her of bullying. Simone Biles faced strong backlash for he statement, with a 2017 tweet resurfacing where Simone Biles stated things in like with arises Gaines views. A college gymnast would defend her by stating that Riley Gains comments are void, claiming the Simone would win golds over multiple men in Gymnastics. Nevertheless, Simone Biles would issue an apology for her past statements and "body shaming" Riley Gaines. She clarified that she respects fairness in sports, and she wants sports to be an inclusive space for all.

The fact that Simone Biles "lost" this is disgusting. Fascists are the LAST people that should be talking about "body shaming" when they do it all the time. The appropriation of feminism for bigotry is pathetic. The right obviously only does this because they know they can't beat feminists after things like the 2017 women's march and the backlash to Roe VS Wade being repealed.
