Miley Cyrus sings “Climb” at Tribeca Film Festival after fans yelled at her

Miley Cyrus attended the 2025 Tribeca Film Festival in New York City on June 6, 2025, for the premiere of Something Beautiful, a film accompanying her latest album While Cyrus's look for the premiere, a mesh gown, garnered a lot of praise, another moment that made headlines was fans complaining at the event.

When Miley was sitting with a panel on stage and discussing the film, a fan shouted:
"We thought this was a concert...we paid $800"

Handling the moment like a true pro, Miley then launched into an acapella rendition of The Climb.

But not everyone was appeased. Other frustrated attendees echoed that sentiment online, claiming they’d been misled into believing the premiere would feature a live performance.

However, many fans quickly rallied to Miley’s defense, blaming the backlash on poor reading comprehension.

Tribeca Film Festival website clearly states that it was a film premiere with an exclusive conversation with Miley x

Why would they expect her to perform live for the premier of her visual album film? They want her to perform the same songs live after watching the same songs in the film? And if you go to Tribeca Film Festival and expect a concert, then you’re a straight up idiot.
