Yeah, isn't AM a monthly subscription? So it's not like people are buying the album itself rather than songs

It's like paid Spotify, streaming with no ads, I think completely separate from iTunes, but they don't release official numbers for streams. But I don't get how an album can be #3 if there's 200+ songs out-streaming any song on the album!

It might be counting how many libraries its been added too? 

Idk. With AM never publicly releasing streaming data I tend to not trust the charts on it.

See ive just noticed odd things over the years. Like songs showing up in the trending section that absolutely aren't trending or viral at all - but just happen to be bands I like. 

Like AM is very good at tailoring itself to your tastes, and I feel like it deliberately obscures the actual charting reality compared to spotify

charts aren’t so competitive now (if we exclude Morgan), albums at #2 and #4 only gets about 30k units weekly from all streaming platforms
