TimotheeChalamet 5,496
The Fame, not because it's a bad album (apart for like 2 songs) but because it showcases only a minimum part of what Gaga could achieve even back then with her vocal and creative talent. I obviously like its legacy and iconic status in changing the landscape of pop music, and the fact that it set itself as a starting point for Gaga's sonic evolution Edited May 30 by TimotheeChalamet
Sorcerer 12,465
The Fame. I just find some songs aside from the massive singles a bit dated and underwhelming. Summerboy is a banger tho and one of Gaga's best. It definitely revolutionized dance pop back to the mainstream. And what a debut album.
imogen2133 90
Joanne, That album felt so not Gaga and has no elements that are in the songs from her first 4 albums that make her songs unique and very her. That era was also very bland and nothing that interesting came of it besides the superbowl performance. That being said John Wayne is decent and nice. Controversiaga 10,528
Joanne but diamond heart , John Wayne, dancing in circle, perfect illusion, and hey girl are great songs chromatica also has some of her worst songs of all time- but the songs I DO LIKE on that album, I like more than the songs I like on Joanne - so ultimately Joanne is least favorite Pronounced like “Balenciaga” . Emphasis on the “Ga”

SevenWonder 4,282
The Fame The album that started it all. Killer singles. Singles the whole world knows, word for word. Sadly, the album has other songs too.

LUST FOR GAGA 20
it usually switches between chromatica and joanne but i would def say chromatica now. even gaga agrees she wasnt making the best music at the time. and my issue with joanne was that it was not fully committed to the reinvention that visually she did. joanne wasnt actually country it was just pop, it had too much early gaga energy for it to really work

PartySick 157,243
Kinda surprised so many people say The Fame I expected Joanne to be mentioned a lot but The Fame? 💔thought we'd last a lifetime when I'm mumbling alone💔
steven 5,864
Joanne felt a bit forced and unauthentic to me. The narrative around her aunt came off as somewhat performative. I feel like it was a nice attempt at trying something different, but it feels like she didn’t fully commit to the genre and stayed a bit on the surface. I do love John Wayne, definitely one of the highlights, but overall this is the album I rarely revisit.
vmpiregrn 906
Chromatica, and basically everything I was going to say is summed up here: 5 hours ago, RochestrMonstr said: Chromatica. It’s a well made, very polished EDM album. Fans of EDM as a genre love this one. That’s why I don’t love it as much, as I’m not into that kind of EDM. Gaga’s albums are all over the place, with rawness showing up everywhere. That’s all missing on Chromatica. I can appreciate (some…) of the visuals. From a critic’s perspective and for all intents and purposes it’s a well-done house. I just don’t like house music.
Lickitung 190
The Fame Monster. I don't really care about Alejandro, Monster, Telephone or So Happy I Could Die and that's already 50% of the album so

Lord Axel 814
Joanne, and if there's one thing I appreciate about is that at least it was (and still is) totally different than any of her other albums ʟɪᴠɪɴɢ ᴛʜᴇ ɢᴏʟᴅ ᴀɴᴅ ᴛʜᴇ ꜱɪʟᴠᴇʀ ᴅʀᴇᴀᴍ ϟ†▽✰𝒿 ~Ɐ
