So far we have two videos officially released. One of 'em is a long ass close up of her veneers, the other is like a live rendition of the song but she's laying on the floor for some reason. 

I don't remember Beyoncé doing that with self titled.

Honestly the visuals aint visualising for me. 
But I feel like complaining the album "has no plot" is a bit of a wild one. Lots of albums are plotless.

If I was in a room with this album, I'd say out loud "Is there any good song on this album?" and the room would go crickets. FOTY (flop of the year), but I'm not sad. 2nd AOTY is coming soon (Addison). 1st AOTY is MAYHEM.

I wasn't expecting too much from the album but I was really surprised. The second half is much better than the songs she already released. Walk Of Fame and Every Girl You've Ever Loved are the best ones without a doubt!

Even ARTPOP which was the lowest point of her career with the whole world basically turning on her, that album still had a genuine enduring hit in “applause”, had a second cute hit that can’t be named, and the album till debuted at number one.  That’s objectively a successful era. And it was still beloved by a certain section of fans (I was one and still love that album), and has been reevaluated by many more over time in a positive way. 

Plus GUY has a spot among pop music fans and Donatella is a drag staple. For a flop, ARTPOP was pretty good

?? Nah Beyoncé’s self titled had videos for every song, sure, but they were definitely full music videos and revolved around a lot of the same themes. Plus lbr she did it “first” (visual albums were a dead format at the time). For Miley now, the bar of interesting visuals is just higher plus Beyonce had a loooot of theoretical hits from the album—drunk in love being the obvious big one

My thing with Miley is that she’s a very talented singer, but I just don’t really feel like she has a particularly strong vision for herself as an artist and I think that’s why her stuff is pretty hit or miss

Idk, given that it’s billed as a visual album and had a series of interludes, I feel like critiquing it for a lack of thematic continuity isn’t really that out of pocket
