mamo 18,605
So I’ve been thinking about this a lot lately and… In my opinion, Happy Mistake really feels like it should have been part of MAYHEM. The album as it stands is a powerful and cohesive body of work but there's something about Happy Mistake that feels intrinsically connected to the heart of it all. The lyrics alone "My head is filled with broken mirrors" for instance seem to echo the visual language of the album cover more directly than any other track. That fragmented, introspective imagery aligns so naturally with the themes explored throughout MAYHEM, it’s pretty surprising to me that the song didn’t make the final cut. Happy Mistake feels like it could have deepened the album’s emotional resonance even further. It’s as if the song carries a piece of the puzzle that would have added an extra layer of vulnerability and reflection to an already impactful project. Its exclusion to me is a missed oppurtunity and highly noticeable. I truly think it could have elevated the latter part of the album just that much more with a final striking note. What are your thoughts? Side note: Before the defenders jump in, I’m not criticising. I genuinely love MAYHEM for what it is and think it's one of her best albums to date. lompavibl 53
I have heard the song is older, possibly from Chroma sessions? It was the only song from Harlequin/Mayhem written and produced with BloodPop. 7
River 114,085
I think it represents the transition between Chromatica and Mayhe and the 6.5 project as a whole, lyrically it's very Chromatica, the self pain, doubts and the mental journey of Chromatica, while the production is very Mayhem, haunting, mature, a very 90s rock ballad. So sploosh your juice all over me you Riverboy
Bonkers 29,302
it should have been, but MAYHEM!!!!! Remember to like and subscribe, and click on the bell icon to get the latest updates
Ilia Malinin 1,181
i consider it part of the mayhem era, even if it wasn't on the album. it fits the theme of the album, but i understand if gaga didn't want it on there, given there's already three ballads on it. vendetta is a friend of mine, revenge is sweeter than wine
faysalaaa 4,100
If it was successful, she would have included it like Die With A Smile lol But yeah I think DWAS should have been in the Joker Soundtrack, and Happy Mistake in Mayham Edited Monday at 04:02 PM by faysalaaa

I used to feel this way, but honestly, the fact that BOG and DWAS both pair together as a love story kinda works for me. nATAH 47,113
i'd prefer it over HBDYWM or BOG but it's an older song from her sessions with bloodpop mother, what must i do? 1 1
Red 97,892
Because she preferred to put it in Harlequin. I hope my answer was helpful. If you see me posting like crazy, I'm either bored or procrastinating. 7
