I know gays live for this diva kinda performance/behavior, personally I just can't stand it and it's exactly because I don't consider Mariah as a serious act anymore, she is just a holiday songstress.

Her diva persona has always been tongue in cheek except when it came to Madonna. I didn’t get a diva bit from this.  She has 19 #1s, the most by any solo artist, only behind the Beatles with 20. As well as one of the largest ranges of any famous vocal musician and certainly of any living one. The infamous “I don’t know her” is because an interview was asking about JLo who was dating her ex husband and manager that had locked Mariah in the recording studio for years churning out albums and hits. Then called things off when she had a flop era and was using JLo as the next Mariah. Her and Gaga have sung praises about each others kindness.
