I’m pretty confident that she’ll be doing an Asian leg next year (I can’t see her skipping Japan, much less SK), but I’m interested…in what way did Asian countries allow for the exclusivity?

agreed. i think she probably had the mexico and copa dates already and then livenation asked her to tour this year so she's adapting it to an arena show but that's such a tight schedule im sure she'll make her way to japan. it's a HUGE market for her and this album is so gaga it would be very odd if she didnt but did visit for joanne of all albums

It’s not entitlement. It’s inequality

my sibling in christ, it is a lady gaga show.

inequality is the rich getting richer while the poor get poorer.  inequality is me, a trans man, having my rights stripped away because the government thinks i'm wrong for choosing to live my truth as a man rather than live a lie as a woman.  inequality is women having to pay extra for feminine hygiene products and birth control while men pay no tax on condoms.

i understand you're upset about exclusivity, but one country getting a show for a promo tour (not the actual album tour, mind you) is not inequality.

sadly the Singaporean government has been signing exclusivity deals for South East Asia. There is still a chance she performs in Japan for example but any South East Asian country is out of luck....I read that A LOT of governments of neighboring natiosn are angry at Singapore for this but it keeps doing what it wants because its the richest country in the region. It's unfair tbh....

Imagine if Europe got one show. Would you still call it a “non-issue”?:triggered:

I consider it being an issue in Europe already.
Adele in Munich, Beyonce in Paris, just to mention a few examples. I mean we are still spoiled here, but it seems to be a trend that artists aren‘t touring as many cities as they used to do, but instead staying at a city several days and let the fans travel and pay the ridiculous ticket prices :messga:

But i agree with u a 100% :vegas:

I don’t speak your americano.

If being “almost assured” of a future tour makes current exclusivity a non-issue, then we could excuse a lot of things with “just wait.” But fans are spending money, streaming daily, and showing up now — not next year.

And when a whole region is reduced to one show, again, it’s fair to speak up.

Hope for 2026 doesn’t erase the frustration of 2025 being monopolized all over again.

This isn’t negativity. It’s awareness.

You know this Coachella/Mexico City/Copacabana show that she's taking to Singapore? We're not getting it in Europe at all. If she's going to be there for a leg next year (and I'll eat my words if she isn't), then you're in the same position as us.

Dear Gaga

We've followed Gaga

Gaga, you

We hope that artists like you

This seems very aimed at Gaga :ladyhaha: But I get your point yeah, it's frustrating when artists only perform in 1 city for an entire continent. Now the tour hasn't been announced yet, let's just wait for official dates before jumping conclusings. Reminder that 99 out of 100 rumors about Gaga are fake

I really feel your frustrations. But there's absolutely no indication that the Singapore dates are all she's doing. It's totally obvious she's going to extend the tour into next year and include Asia then along with other places. The Singapore dates are part of a promo deal and the media said that they weren't exclusive. Remember that even though she did Coachella, she's still doing California shows. She hasn't been to Mexico and Brazil in years, so there's no way that bunch of concerts will be all she's doing. If Katy can sell out 7 Mexican arenas, Gaga can do more than 2 stadium gigs there. She hasn't had a proper world tour since BTWB, she's long overdue this. Japan has always been a successful market for her and there's no way she'll avoid there and she hasn't been to any other Asian country outwith SK since 2012, so she can't pay them dust again. Good things come to those who wait, just hold tight.

Edit: And excuse my ignorance but I thought the tour company paid the venue money to host them? What's this about how the venue has to pay? There's no downside to letting an artist tour in your city, the injection of money into the economy from transportation, hotel and restaurant costs from ticket holders is a no-brainer. That's why so many city mayors were begging Taylor to come to their city.

Cries in India, knowing full well she will

probably never come to my country. I am just glad that she is coming somewhere that I can go and watch her perform.

Some of you are really delusional, its all about demand. Its good strategy to bring all the fans in Singapore rather than going to the countries which don't have that much Gaga fans. Y'all too much passionate. I'm from South Asia, honestly I can get why she doesn't come here, its not feasible.

she removed the singapore flag on the second show, probably because of the backlash other countries are causing.. She's allowed to show love for the country she's currently visiting, people suck sometimes.

The victims are Taiwan, Hongkong, Thailand and Philipines. Those countries have capacity to host the shows but were not given chance.

I dont think she will be welcomed by the govt of Malaysia and Indonesia. China also.

i understand you're upset about exclusivity, but one country getting a show for a promo tour (not the actual album tour, mind you) is not inequality.

My sibling in clarity:
Inequality is not a zero-sum competition. We can talk about trans rights and cultural inequality at the same time. We can fight for healthcare access and fairness in global entertainment access.

I'm not comparing this issue to your struggle. I’m pointing out a different kind of systemic imbalance — where Asian fans are regularly overlooked or forced into an exclusive, monopolized model just to see the same artist others get access to more equitably. This isn’t about 'which oppression matters more' — this is about recognizing how structural favoritism (even in art) reflects deeper global biases.

Art and music are meant to connect. So yes, when a continent of fans have to compete for one city, that's not fair. And it’s okay to say that — without invalidating your pain either.

-------

People keep saying ‘this is just a promo tour’ as if that excuses the exclusivity. But let’s not forget: Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour — a major world tour — also went exclusively to Singapore for the entire SEA region last year. It wasn't just about ‘promo’. It was a precedent. A pattern.

When big-name artists do this repeatedly, it creates a structure of exclusion. Whether it's a promo tour or a full album tour, the effect on fans is the same: the rest of Asia is shut out.

Let’s not pretend this is harmless or temporary — because it’s becoming a norm

Came for some drama, not karma 💅
