PartySick 155,207 Posted yesterday at 12:27 AM Share Posted yesterday at 12:27 AM I'll always love Joanne the most as a story of growth, how pain changes you into an entirely new person, a story of healing, and her most compassionate work to date. After losing my grandpa in 2021 it hits harder than ever before. I've grown through so many iterations of myself that I can't recognize who I was even a year ago. But I persist with a pink hat on my beating heart Mayhem comes in a hot second place out of pure quality the literal sound of this album probably sonically beats anything she's ever put out. It's so weighty and unique but still lighthearted and nostalgic. A throwback to the best parts of her discography and influences without being redone or rehashed ARTPOP, now dethroned to third place but still very much a piece of my heart, is the rage filled adrenaline inducing soundtrack we all need when we're just ready to throw up the middle fingers and live our f*cking lives as spiritual little rebels with nothing to lose but everything to discover 🧡The blindfold's off my eyes, all I see for me is better days🧡
Carl Grimes 781 Posted yesterday at 01:02 AM Share Posted yesterday at 01:02 AM mayhem and ARTPOP are tied for first. mayhem and ARTPOP both came about at a time i was at my lowest, feeling like my life was going nowhere, and fully spiraling. i don't exaggerate when i say both of those albums saved my life. ARTPOP was one of the only things that made me happy as a severely mentally ill queer teen trying to figure out who i was. it was one of the things that made me the most happy. following the release of mayhem was one of the only reasons i would get up in the morning last year, just watching bits and pieces of the era begin, seeing the snippets and songs release and speculating how the era would play out was what kept me going during an awful time in my life. born this way is second, because it came out around the time i discovered i was queer. i found out that i wasn't "defective" or "weird", i was transgender. I HAD A WORD FOR IT! OTHER PEOPLE FELT HOW I FELT! I WASN'T ALONE! hair was my anthem, it let me express how i truly felt through song. to this day i still cry when i sing along to it, it means that much to me. chromatica is in third, mostly because that was a rough time period for me and i would put it on while absolutely out of my mind and pretend my life WASN'T falling apart. but now i look back on those times knowing that that was the "worse" before it got better and i still listen to chromatica now the same way i did back then, bopping along to all the songs. the percentage of people that stan both lady gaga and ilia malinin is small but never zero
Anderson123 37,716 Posted yesterday at 01:08 AM Share Posted yesterday at 01:08 AM 1. Born This Way - Ever since that "And I promised that if I won this tonight I'd announce the name of my new record" at the VMAs I was hyped about this album because it felt like she was very excited about this one. Getting the announcement at New Years Eve, the Mugler teasing with Scheiße remix, Born This Way single, Government Hooker runway, Hair and The Edge of Glory as promo singles, Americano and Judas live at my first ever Gaga concert The Monster Ball, Gagavision instrumentals, Fashion of His Love, Marry The Night and Electric Chapel at Gagaville, Born This Way Ball and just listening to the album for the first time. SCHEIßE full version not the remix, Bloody Mary, Heavy Metal Lover. What can I say about this album? Fans that lived this know all of this. 2. The Fame Monster - I became a fan of Gaga a bit before The Fame first edition came out. I listened to that CD over and over again for a year and then we got Bad Romance and Alejandro demos leaked online. Getting to listen to these and know that she was coming up with a strong follow up, not just a re-release. Listening to Alejandro and Dance In The Dark as "promo singles" for the first time and they later got removed from iTunes. A perfect 8 track body of work that deserves to be called her 2nd album. 3. Mayhem - This truly feels like Gaga's spark is back again. Something I had not felt in her music since Born This Way or maybe even ARTPOP. We waited years and years for this and it delivered. What a great listen from start to finish. It feels like a Greatest Hits album with a lot of influence from her past work and artists that have inspired her.

NUTELLA 6,909 Posted yesterday at 01:29 AM Share Posted yesterday at 01:29 AM Born This Way- she had the entire world’s attention & she actually managed to deliver the goods. The Fame Monster- weirdly timeless & dated at the same time (both in positive ways). My life changed. I became obsessed. “Ra ra ah ah ah, ro ma ro ma ma, gaga oh lala” is tattooed into my brain. Watching this era unfold was indescribably exciting. Then MAYHEM The Fame > > ARTPOP > Chromatica > > > Joanne
Vimo 895 Posted yesterday at 02:50 AM Share Posted yesterday at 02:50 AM BTW and The Fame Monster for what they represent. The epicness of the eras, how she exploded and revived a boring pop environment. Then Mayhem. I've had this one on loop for 2 months and not getting tired of it. The song run from Zombieboy to Shadow of a man is I-MMA-CU-LATTÉ
Lord Axel 795 Posted yesterday at 03:20 AM Share Posted yesterday at 03:20 AM TFM will always be my favorite album of all time and I don't see that ever changing tbh, it was just such an impactful moment in time that cannot be replaced for me ʟɪᴠɪɴɢ ᴛʜᴇ ɢᴏʟᴅ ᴀɴᴅ ᴛʜᴇ ꜱɪʟᴠᴇʀ ᴅʀᴇᴀᴍ ϟ†▽✰𝒿 ~Ɐ
KindnessPunk 1,918 Posted yesterday at 05:05 AM Share Posted yesterday at 05:05 AM 1) Born This Way, it’s honestly hard to choose between this and my #2, because both made a HUGE impact on my life at the time of release. But I think Born This Way will always be a very special album for me. It’s really what I needed to hear back then, and I’ll never forget how cool I felt listening to it for the very first time. Although I don’t stream the album as whole as much anymore, I still remember each track fondly, I remember the era being such an ultimate Pop experience, Gaga really put EVERYTHING into this album and you can still feel that 10+ years later, that’s powerful. 2) Chromatica. Can easily be a tie with #1, yes, you read that right. Chromatica is such a fantastic album from start to finish. I also remember listening to this one when it first dropped and loving every single song on first listen. And I just never got tired of it. Over the past couple of years when everyone was ready for LG7, Chromatica still felt brand new to me. It really helped me through a dark period in my life, and I really do feel like I go somewhere else when I listen to it. I think even Gaga said Chromatica is like a state of mind, and I feel that so much. Ironically, even though the era wasn’t completely what we all wanted it to be (pandemic, etc) I still felt well fed with this era. The visuals, the colors, the videos, everything about it was so cool to me. And dare I say, even when it felt like the era took a pause a few times, it didn’t matter to me. I felt like the music was so good that I could let my imagination create the music videos that could have been. And then comes the Chromatica Ball. I could write essays on how much I loved this final part of the era…the complete silence leading up to it, I can remember and laugh when some people didn’t even think it was still happening and boy was it worth the wait, and not only that, it felt so triumphant to be there, like after all the mayhem of the pandemic, going to this concert felt like such a win, and for Gaga too, with how she was able to perform, thats was a huge win all on its own! I will love Chromatica forever, an amazing musical experience that I will cherish for all my life. 3) Joanne. Its hard to put into words why I love this album. I’m happy that she finally was able to make music that wasn’t dance/electronic. This album is just beautiful…absolutely beautiful. I would love another Joanne. It’s the perfect album for when I wanna stop and reflect on life. Its just feels good to listen to, like a breath of fresh air. I love this album so much. More of this please, Gaga. Nathaniel Arven 1,767 Posted yesterday at 05:25 AM Share Posted yesterday at 05:25 AM (edited) the fame monster : because i was there to receive bad romance and uh. and the live, and so happyy i could dddie. ARTPOP : the first album i discovered without a pop fan friend by my side. I had to figure out alone what kind of gaga fan i was because a lot of people were turning their back on her. And this is her most electric era. Mayhem : because it's in my head since the first time i heard it. Zombie boy and VIY alone are saving me, abracadabra and disease too. I love this tale about self transformation so much. Edited yesterday at 05:30 AM by Nathaniel Arven
AVeryGagaHolyDick 24,175 Posted yesterday at 07:14 AM Share Posted yesterday at 07:14 AM 1- BTW: the melodies, the lyrics, the message, the production, the vocals, the era, the visual, the performances, the fashion, the timing/hype… everything was absolutely perfect 2- TFM: everything is perfect too, but the album is shorter 3- TF: severely underrated but the tracklist is hit after hit after hit. The production is clean af. Even the silliest songs are masterpieces (Eh Eh, Summerboy, I’m looking at you) and Paper Gangsta is one the the most unique songs I’ve ever heard. Photograph deserved a spot in the tracklist though
