This is not me "defending" Johnny Depp, I know absolutely nothing about their case, besides the fact that he won; I wasn't there, and he might have been abusive towards her, I do not know. He wouldn't be the first, nor the last person to get away with domestic violence. As a matter of fact, Amber did, and had a blooming career until the Depp fiasco occured, and her reputation was destroyed . 

You can feel sympathy towards her as much as you want, and I will agree that perpetually demonizing her is excessive. There was a trial, she lost, it's enough. If she wrongfully accused Depp, then she already paid the price for it (metaphorically at least, by losing her career and reputation). But to police every comment that criticizes her, on the grounds of her being "a woman", like that's some sort of sacred shield, is ridiculous . 

Yes, she is a woman, and she was also arrested for beating her girlfriend in a public place . If you would not prevent people from roasting a male celebrity who did such a thing, then you shouldn't be clutching your pearls about Amber Heard being disliked on a Pop Music forum. 

It is not misogynistic to dislike a person with questionable morality and a past of domestic violence. Feminism does not imply that vaginas come in a dual pack with a sacred halo around them, which grants immunity towards criticism or accountability . 

When a woman fücks up, she'll be criticized, as it should be, that is not sexism, that's the law of cause and consequence . Do I believe that a large percentage of the audience was particularly brutal against her, because she's a woman? yes, I do agree with that.

Disliking Amber Heard, who again, was charged for domestic violence, and is ~presumably~ having babies with neo-nazis to stay rich, is not the same as defending Johnny Depp. Like I said, I'm not informed about their trial. 

The one thing I knew about it, was that hidden camera footage where he was erratic, seemed intoxicated, and broke a bottle in the living room. Like I said, he might have been abusive, I know for a fact I won't defend that man . 

But she has been abusive herself . I'm sorry, I can't entertain the idea that domestic violence is automatically less severe, or worthy of condemn, if the aggressor happens to be "the good" gender . 

I respect your empathy towards a woman that you feel is being maligned. I disagree with the notion that she should not be held to the same standards as everyone else, given her history of domestic violence, because as a woman she can only be perceived as a victim and nothing else.
