I believe people are very prejudiced cause it's a tour for her country album. Thing is she's not performing only the songs of said album.

Looked pretty full to me. Sure maybe not every seat was full but is the difference between 45,000 and 47,000 really that notable in the grand scheme of things?

Like Taylor is so wise that after coming from a massive phase in her career she’s in hiding. She knows that after a peak there’s a comedown.

girl did you really say that? taylor was absolutely everywhere for like 4 years in a row releasing an album every 6 months. she definitely did not enjoy any comedowns during that at all and did not give herself or her fanbase time to breathe. meanwhile beyoncé has been doing a very conservative 1 album year 1, followed by a tour the following year, followed by another album the 3rd year, then another tour the 4th year ... like seriously. people are just finding straws to grasp at because the media is trying to paint a specific picture for whatever reason. 2 years between tours is not uncommon for a pop artist at all.

I meaaaan, get your country together 😅 dynamic pricing isn't allowed in the EU due to customer protection and i think it's more so the environment Bey, Gaga and other artists of their magnitude play in that their tours are sold with dynamic pricing. At this point I really don't think they have that much saying in the matter, at least if they want to book via ticketmaster/eventim 🤷🏼‍♀️

I am certain Beyonce and Gaga have more pull than you'd think for this. As much as I dislike Taylor, she turned dynamic pricing off for the Eras Tour.

Exactly. Have some comprehension unless you chose to forget that while typing this.

Taylor overexposed herself and look at now, you can barely find her except for some tabloid rag. She knows she’s been too much, and unbearable. She had this exact thing post 1989 and she learned. Beyoncé is more selective with her releases but it’s RELATIVE.

If you take everything you put out as a “moment” or a “cultural reset” (even if most of it is not her fault) people need a break. It’s not like she’s a new artist who can saturate the market and it will all be still fresh but at the same time B’s big moment was too recent.

I agree that it’s unfair on her part and she puts in the work, but I’m trying to think objectively on why the optics for this tour, after a decade of constant reverence and the media going along people like to pick on her now.

That's because people got their tickets upgraded like a week before the tour starts.

Plus, don't forget those free tickets she donated to charity. :flower:

First of all, no they weren’t tarped off as you can clearly see in the video.

Second of all, even if they were, who the **** cares? What does it matter? Is there not more important things for grown ass adults to be thinking about than how many tickets a multi millionaire sells?

This whole “WAS IT SOLD OUT” topic is genuinely stupid and anyone seriously engaging in it needs to get a job or go outside or find something productive to do with their day. It is not important at all.

Those seats were never on sale to start with. She did the same thing for the Renaissance Tour. She doesn’t sell seats that are blocked by her light and sound trusses as you can clearly see in the very clip you’re referring to.

I don't understand why people don't realise this.

I've been to multiple stadium gigs for various acts who have all blocked off portions of the lower seating tier because the seats line up directly with mixing booths/VIP tents/audio towers/merch and bar booths etc. It's standard practice until you get into the 2023 silly stage where Renaissance & Eras tour were doing "restricted view" tickets.

Just my two cents and unpopular opinion.

I saw the setlist and i will comfortably say i will not attend the concert. It is too much focus on CC and Renaissance, and could be alienating casual fans (like me) which dont follow closely on latest album tracks. The only hit songs from the past she included are Crazy in Love and Formation. The rest are from CC and Renaissance albums.

People have been comparing CCT to eras tour. It is not even comparable. Eras tour success comes from the fact TS put a specific segment to highlight all her previous albums/eras. Fans from all age groups can relate to a certain part of those eras (e.g. fans in 40s can relate to early country songs, 30s can relate to Red-1989 pop hits while young teens can relate to folklore evermore). This cross-appeal is so important when you want your tickets to sell well.

Im sure many will say it is a tour for CC and meant mainly for fans. But hey, selling to fanbase is limited. Inclusions of more previous hits will urge more casual fans to attend.

Im suddenly glad that at least Gaga's Mayhem shows gonna include PF, BR, BTW, Judas, Bloody Mary, Scheisse (long time fan fave). She is somehow striking a good balance between new songs + old hits + hits from recent years (Shallow).

lol so shady. i can disagree with you without having a lack of comprehension sis.

Beyoncé is hardly overexposed because unlike TS the media is not obsessed with every time she goes to a party/sports event/awards show and her fanbase is also less obsessed and toxic as a result. She hasn't saturated the market at all.

The only reason this is happening imo is ageism. Beyoncé is reaching that point in her life where she is 43 years old and the collective media and GP are starting to turn on her because she is considered 'too old'. It happened to Mariah, it happened to Madonna, and it will happen to TS too in 5-7 years time. The only difference between CC and Renaissance is that Renaissance came out first and was a more universal genre so people just say CC is inferior and hate on it - the album was recorded before Renaissance and intended to be released first but she swapped it around because of the pandemic. This was a good move for Renaissance, but hurt CC in the long run because if she had released that album first, people would have not been able to compare it to Renaissance when it came out and would then have been mind-blown when Renaissance came out.

Ultimately her tour is performing the same way her past tour has, but people be hating because they see tickets available and they were unhappy with the prices so they're doubling down on that hate. But this wasn't any different from the past tour that also didn't have full sell outs on most dates until the day of. And that people were already complaining about the prices then.
