recent events aside she has literally only shown gaga praise when it would make her look good and otherwise lowkey contributed to the dogpiles. like im sorry but be so fr. it was cool of gaga to invite her, but katy has SELDOM shown gaga this level of kindness publicly. if she's turning a new leaf, cool, but idk to go so far as to say grew up together when 90% of that time you were messy is fake afffff

Oh I feel just a tiny bit bad for her now. It's unexpected to see that she's not jealous and is being supportive of her current biggest competition. Unless this is literally a PR stunt

It's interesting to me that she's just now starting to change her tempo, after all the negative backlash. Woman's World and 143 flop and it's not her fault she worked with Dr.Luke, but her A&R. She gets negative backlash for her space thing and all the sudden she's hysterically crying during Pearl on stage. Katy and Gaga have been in the same space for nearly 20 years, and after Katy's team realizes she doesn't have a fanbase anymore all the sudden her and Gaga "grew up together". She's had TWENTY YEARS to say kind things about Gaga and it takes her hitting her absolute low in order to speak kindly of her. 

 

I can understand that there is a lot of pressure to be a "good" popstar. And I applaud her for her dedication, especially considering her going on stage despite having been told she was getting divorced 30 minutes prior all those years ago. I think a lot of people have had unkind things to say, and it probably weighs on her as a person. But where is any sort of genuity or responsibility? She couldn't apologize for how tone deaf she was in Woman's World? Or validate Kesha's experience? Couldn't even pretend to care. I don't think Katy has EVER spoken to the public, only at them. And it's always with her spinning herself to be the victim. You can't ALWAYS be the victim.
