True, it's hard to find a good Gaga cover.

I think Gaga's songs are hard to cover because she use her voice too subtly to reproduced easily. So the best covers are the ones who use a different artistic direction.

As someone plays multiple instruments as a hobby, I agree with this.  Ed Sheeran is hard to cover because if you don’t do it exactly the way he does it sounds wrong.  Taylor has a lot of creative liberty (probably because she’s performed acoustic versions of almost every song in her discography and writes most on guitar).  Gaga, on the other hand, you have to go into left field with.  I love doing an ukulele version of Paparazzi (inspired by her jazz version), or an acoustic Dance in the Dark on my guitar!

Honestly I think bc Gaga is corny af but she’s her own very fearless brand of corny that only she can truly dedicate herself to performing. That’s part of her magnetism, how extremely dedicated she is to the bit whatever it may be.

obviously I love mother but she’s corny in the best way and silly and her tragedy toes the line of it so she is really hard to cover bc her balance of it is her own
